CASEY AT 13


Casey turned 13 last February 2025. She's now in Grade 7 and will be in Grade 8 this coming July 2025. 

She might not be an outstanding student but she has good grades. She is training to be a volleyball player 

What are the characteristics of a 13 year old in this digital age and age of social media.

Thirteen-year-olds are characterized by significant physical changes starting from puberty, such as heightened emotionality, mood swings, and increased focus on peers. 

These things eventually lead to a push for independence from family while struggling with insecurity, self-identity, and intense self-consciousness about their changing bodies, often testing boundaries and rules as they develop abstract thinking and personal values.

Roseola Infantum

Casey had roseola on February 22, 2013, exactly 10 days after her first birthday. We noticed the appearance of red rashes on her abdomen and stomach area. ( First time moms will naturally be scared of this development in their baby). Then we noticed that the rashes were spreading to her arms, face and legs. Since I already experienced taking care of  a baby with roseola (Casey's mom), I was no longer scared about Casey having it.
